Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with experience in Siemens NX and/or PTC Pro/ENGINEER (Creo) to join our advanced manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for complex machined components in support of aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using NX and/or Pro/ENGINEER for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling and turning machines.
  • Generate and validate tool paths, ensuring efficient machining processes and minimal setup time.
  • Interpret 3D CAD models, drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Design workholding and fixturing concepts in CAD software when necessary.
  • Perform program simulations and dry runs to validate tool paths and verify machine compatibility.
  • Assist machinists during setups and troubleshoot issues related to programming, tooling, and machining strategies.
  • Recommend improvements in tooling, speeds/feeds, and cycle times.
  • Maintain documentation for revision control, setup sheets, and tooling instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX and/or Pro/ENGINEER (Creo) CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC controller operations (e.g., Fanuc, Okuma, Haas).
  • Solid grasp of materials, tooling, and machining techniques for aluminum, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Experience with multi-axis machines and complex geometries is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Okuma, or similar CNC equipment.
  • Knowledge of DNC systems and tool life management software.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing.
  • Formal training or certification in CNC programming or advanced manufacturing.
