Job summary
Kaulig Racing’s HR Generalist will play a central role in supporting the team in Welcome, NC. This position is the primary point of contact for all employees and responsible for managing the day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of the team in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Support recruitment efforts by coordinating job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and communicating with candidates and managers.
· Initiates and completes background checks and drug screens.
· Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, system setup, and cultural integration.
Employee Relations & Engagement
· Promptly respond to employee questions and concerns while fostering a positive work environment.
· Assist in conflict resolution, investigations, and performance-related discussions.
· Conduct internal investigations into potential ethical or legal violations and recommend corrective action to leadership as required.
HR Operations & Compliance
· Responsible for maintaining accurate HR records, documentation, and employee files in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Additional Duties
· Assist employees with payroll and benefit problems or questions in consultation with HR management.
· Utilize HRIS (Isolved) for data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks.
· Works closely with the corporate HR Director and regularly communicates updates about all HR processes.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Strong organizational and time management skills are required to manage and prioritize a large quantity of work accurately.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and experience
· A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
· A minimum of three years of human resource management experience is preferred.
· SHRM-CP is a plus.
Physical requirements
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times.
· Frequently required to stand, walk, or navigate through two buildings.
· Ability to work in a loud environment.
