About Us: Apogee Automotive is a premium automotive service workshop specialising in performance, suspension, general servicing, maintenance and repairs, while Apogee Motorsport competes in high-level racing programs including the Toyota GR Cup Series, Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series and the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and self-driven mechanic to join our team.
The Role: This isn’t just another mechanic role. You will be a key part of keeping our workshop running efficiently, even when the motorsport team is out racing. You’ll work across:
Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical issues in a broad range of vehicles from race cars to daily driven cars
Scheduled logbook servicing, maintenance, brake repairs, suspension repairs and general repairs
Performance upgrades and race-prep work
Independent job management with minimal supervision
Documenting all work performed and ensuring detailed service records
Liaising with our front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and satisfied customers
Assisting the motorsport team staff in loading equipment and vehicles prior to events

Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical servicing, repairs, and inspections to a high standard
Ensure the workshop operates efficiently and scheduled work is getting completed in a timely manner
Assist with race car prep and pre/post-event maintenance of all vehicles
Flag safety and performance upgrades to the front-of-house team
Maintain tools, parts, and workflow to minimise downtime
What We’re Looking For:
Trade qualified automotive mechanic with 3–5 years experience
Confident working independently and making decisions on the floor
Experience in servicing and maintaining a wide variety of makes and models
Strong mechanical knowledge, problem solving skills and diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
Motorsport or performance car experience is highly regarded
Reliable, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of your work
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a reasonable time frame
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate a range of automotive tools and equipment
