PremiAir Racing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Motorsport Fabricator to join our Supercars team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused fabricator to work within a professional, fast-paced motorsport environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for producing, modifying and repairing high-quality components to support the preparation and performance of our race cars.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabrication, modification and repair of race car components
  • TIG and MIG welding of aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
  • Manufacture of brackets, mounts, ducting, pipework and other custom components
  • Sheet metal fabrication and tube work
  • Repair of damaged components and body structures
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, measurements and technical specifications
  • Working closely with engineers and mechanics to develop practical solutions
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and presentation
  • Assisting with general race car preparation when required
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

About you

You will ideally have:

  • Previous fabrication experience within motorsport, automotive or a similar high-performance environment
  • Strong TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication skills
  • Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
  • A relevant trade qualification, although extensive practical experience will also be considered
  • A current Australian driver licence

Experience with Supercars or professional-level motorsport would be highly regarded.

The role may require flexible working hours, including some evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the racing calendar.
