Account Manager – Motorsport Merchandise

Motorsport Distributors Group (MDG) is a leader in motorsport merchandise, apparel, and teamwear solutions, partnering with some of Australia's leading Supercars teams, sponsors, events, and wholesale customers. We work closely with our clients to design, manufacture, distribute, and retail premium merchandise and team uniforms that represent some of the biggest teams and brands in Australian motorsport.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our team and support the management of a portfolio of motorsport clients while developing a long-term career in account management.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone with client-facing and relationship management experience who is ready to expand their skills and continue their early career development as an account manager. Reporting to and working with the Senior Account Manager, you will gain hands-on experience managing client relationships, coordinating merchandise projects, and supporting major motorsport teams, sponsors, and events

You will play a key role in ensuring client needs are met, projects are delivered on time, and relationships continue to grow. This is an excellent opportunity to develop commercial, operational, and relationship management skills within a fast-paced and exciting industry.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Support

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of race team, sponsor, and wholesale customer accounts.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client enquiries, ensuring requests are responded to promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support clients throughout the season with merchandise and teamwear requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes.

Merchandise & Project Coordination

  • Assist race teams and clients in gathering merchandise and apparel requirements.
  • Coordinate merchandise and teamwear projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Liaise with internal design, production, and operations teams to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Manage artwork approval processes, revisions, and client sign-offs.
  • Monitor project timelines and communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders.

Sponsor & Stakeholder Support

  • Coordinate merchandise requirements for sponsors and commercial partners.
  • Support the delivery of sponsor-branded apparel and promotional merchandise programs.
  • Ensure branding guidelines and approval processes are followed.
  • Build strong working relationships with sponsor contacts and key stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years' experience in account management, coordination, customer service, project coordination, merchandising, events, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • A genuine interest in motorsport, events, apparel, or merchandise is highly regarded.
