The Opportunity

PWR is looking for a Machine Shop Manager to lead our CNC machining team in a high-performance environment supporting global motorsport, aerospace, and advanced technology programs.

This isn’t a desk job. We’re after someone who thrives on the floor, knows machining inside out, and can lead a team to deliver precision, quality, and performance at scale.

You’ll be responsible for supervising daily operations with over 30 CNC machines, 9 direct reports and a full team of 50, supporting and mentoring Machinists and Apprentices and ensuring all components are produced to the highest standards of quality and precision.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the machine shop, leading people, driving output, and improving how things get done.

Day to day:

• Lead, mentor and develop CNC Machinists and Apprentices
• Oversee daily operations across 3 & 5 axis machining
• Troubleshoot machining, setups and tooling issues on the floor
• Review first-offs, prove-outs and ensure quality standards are met
• Work closely with Engineering & Production on job planning
• Identify and drive efficiencies, process improvements and output gains
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workflow

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in CNC machining (3 & 5 axis preferred)
• Proven experience leading or supervising in a machine shop
• Highly capable technically, this is a hands on role
• Confident reading drawings, reviewing setups and solving problems
• Someone who can lead a team, lift standards, and drive performance

You won’t just be managing, you’ll be shaping how a high-performing machine shop operates in a company pushing the boundaries of engineering and manufacturing.
