CNC Machinist β Motorsport & Prototype Engineering

Prototipo is looking for a CNC Machinist to join our small but growing engineering team. We design, develop and manufacture high-performance motorsport and amphibious vehicle components in-house, with work ranging from one-off prototype parts through to small-batch production. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems and taking ownership of their work.
Key responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC machinery, along with some manual equipment
- Manufacturing Prototipo's in-house designed products using 3, 4 and 5-axis mills and multi-tasking lathes
- Producing one-off prototype and development components
- Small-batch production of precision components
- Designing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures where required
- Working directly with our design and engineering team to optimise components for manufacture
About you
- CNC machine setting and operation
- Fusion 360 CAD/CAM or other CAD/CAM software
- Haas, Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
- 5-axis machining
- Multi-tasking lathes
- Horizontal machining centres
- Prototype and low-volume precision manufacturing
- Willingness to learn, develop new skills and take on new challenges
