REPCO NEXTGEN NZ CHAMPIONSHIP
We’re hiring: Operations & Logistics Assistant
Contract | On-event | Multiple New Zealand venues
THE OPPORTUNITY
Want hands-on experience in event management, motorsport logistics or operations? This is your opportunity to get involved in the action.
As Operations & Logistics Assistant for the Repco NextGen NZ Championship, you’ll be right in the middle of the event team, helping build and run the physical infrastructure that makes each round of New Zealand’s premier motorsport series happen.
You’ll work alongside our Operations Manager and event team across every round of the 2026/27 season — from the first marquee peg in the ground to the podium celebrations at the end of race day. It’s fast-paced, physically demanding and never boring.
IS THIS YOU?
This is a hands-on, physical role. To succeed, you’ll need to:
• Be on your feet for long periods in all weather conditions and across long event days.
• Be comfortable walking 20,000+ steps a day around a busy event site.
• Keep a positive attitude regardless of the time, weather or task at hand.
• Be a practical problem-solver who is happy to get stuck in rather than stand back.
• Work well in a team and take direction as on-site priorities shift.
• Have a full driver’s licence, preferably, and be willing to travel to venues across New Zealand.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
On event, you’ll help deliver the logistics and infrastructure behind every round, including:
• Setting up NextGen and Toyota Gazoo Racing event infrastructure.
• Overseeing marquee, temporary fencing and scaffolding installations in line with the site plan.
• Building and installing podium and welcome structures.
• Coordinating hire-equipment deliveries and collections, including generators, portaloos and scaffolding.
• Managing on-site power, including generator start-up, shutdown and refuelling.
• Supporting Motorsport New Zealand’s set-up requirements, including officials’, scrutineering and technical spaces.
• Assisting with sponsor activations, fuel storage and tyre-fitting-zone installations.
• Helping deliver event branding, signage and venue dressing.
• Managing the podium on race day to ensure branding and trophies are ready on time.
• Supporting event planning between rounds through emails, phone calls, online meetings and venue liaison to prepare for the next stop on the calendar.
