Race Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Race Mechanic to join our team at Encore Autosport in Capalaba, Queensland. As a full-time Race Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and preparing our customer race cars in the workshop, and supporting them at competition events and track days. Our team includes the largest fleet of Innovation Race Cars, TA2/Trans Am, Toyota 86 and Radicals amongst other high end racecars and motorsport based projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing thorough preparation, maintenance and repairs on a variety of race cars
2. Travelling to events to provide track support.
3. Leading our extensive team of contractors at events
4. Preparing spare parts and equipment for competition events.
5. Performing technical adjustments in collaboration with our engineering and coaching team.
6. Maintaining detailed records of all work performed on vehicles
7. Ensuring the workshop and equipment are well-organised and well-maintained
8. Providing exceptional customer service to our racing clients

What we're looking for

1. Extensive experience as a Race Mechanic or similar role in the automotive industry
2. Strong technical knowledge and hands-on skills in preparing race cars.
3. Familiarity with a wide range of automotive and motorsport tools and equipment
4. Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict timelines and safety protocols
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
