About the Role

Grove Racing is seeking a Race Mechanic to join our Supercars Championship program based at our Braeside facility.

This is a hands-on role within a professional race team environment where attention to detail, organisation and reliability are critical. The successful candidate will support the No.1 Mechanic, engineers and wider race team in preparing and maintaining the race car to the highest standards across the Supercars Championship season.

The role involves both workshop preparation and race event execution, requiring a disciplined approach to car build, maintenance and presentation.

The Role

The role is responsible for assisting with the build, preparation and ongoing maintenance of the race car, ensuring it is prepared to race-ready standards at all times.

You will work closely with the No.1 Mechanic and engineering group, supporting car preparation, test days and race weekend operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the build, preparation and rebuild of the Supercars race car
  • Support the No.1 Mechanic and engineers in preparing the car at the highest possible standard for each event
  • Support all race weekend operations, including between-session preparation and garage operations
  • Participate in the pit stop crew where required
  • Maintain a clean, organised and professional garage environment
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard of quality and reliability

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a race mechanic or high-level motorsport technician
  • Experience in Supercars, Super2, GT, Carrera Cup or similar categories highly regarded
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and team-first mindset
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally across the Supercars Championship calendar
