Fabricator – Race Car Trailer Manufacturing

We are a specialist race car trailer manufacturer building high-quality, heavy-duty transport solutions for professional motorsport teams and performance car owners. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Fabricator to join our workshop team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision fabrication, structural strength, and clean, professional finishes.

The Role

You will be fabricating and assembling custom race car trailers, working with structural steel and aluminium to produce durable, high-spec transport solutions built to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication of trailer chassis and structural frames
• MIG welding (TIG experience advantageous)
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Cutting, bending, and assembling steel and aluminium sections
• Installation of ramps, winch mounts, tie-down systems, and storage solutions
• Ensuring all builds meet safety and road compliance standards
• Maintaining high-quality workmanship and workshop organisation

Requirements

• Proven fabrication experience (automotive, trailer, or structural steel preferred)
• Strong MIG welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience working with box section, sheet metal, and structural steel
• High attention to detail and pride in producing clean welds and finishes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, skilled team

Desirable

• Experience building trailers or vehicle transporters
• Understanding of trailer braking systems and axle setups
• Aluminium fabrication experience
• Forklift licence
