Professional Driver & Driving Experiences Instructor

Due to growth in our driving experiences market, Hampton Downs Motorsport Park is looking for a second experienced professional driver to join our team. This role will start with variable hours based on business demand, with the potential to grow into a permanent position as our driving experiences business continues to expand. 

 We need someone who can combine driving expertise, coaching skill and customer engagement to help us keep up with demand and continue to ensure our driving experiences are the best in New Zealand.

You'll work across Drive Safe Advantage, U-Drive Experience, MX-5 Challenge, corporate activities and other track events, while helping shape the future of our activities at both Hampton Downs and Taupo.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering top-quality driving instruction to customers of all skill levels
• Acting as a professional driver and driving expert across our range of activities
• Supporting corporate, private and promotional driving events
• Helping customers get the most out of their time on track
• Working with the team to develop and improve our driving experience products
• Spotting opportunities to grow participation and repeat business
• Supporting sales and marketing through your knowledge and credibility
• Representing Hampton Downs professionally with customers, partners and corporate clients
• Pitching in on wider track operations, including Race Control, as needed
• Staying flexible to support the team across events and operations
• Occasional travel to our sister tracks may be required

About you You're more than a great driver. You're confident, capable and genuinely enjoy working with people.

Ideally you'll bring:

• Proven experience as a professional, race or high-performance driver (non negotiable) 
• Strong vehicle control and advanced driving skills
• Background in driver coaching or instruction
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable with everyone from first-timers to experienced drivers
• A sharp focus on safety and customer experience
• Flexibility across events, activities and customer groups
• A genuine passion for motorsport and creating memorable experiences
