The Role:
We are currently seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with precision components across a variety of materials in an organisation at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Machinery to manufacture precision components from materials such as metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and job specifications.
- Interpret and write basic CNC programs as required
- Understand and perform tool wear offsets
- Use and understand gages and precision measuring instruments
- Adjust machine settings including control speed, material feed and tool paths to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain machinery and ensure consistent production of high-quality components
- Working alongside team members to make a positive contribution to the team’s output and results.
About you:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace
- Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on environment
