ROLE SUMMARY
The Junior Graphic Designer supports the creation of visually compelling, on brand creative assets that enhance the Supercars brand across digital, print, event, and broadcast environments. This role is ideal for someone early in their creative career who is passionate about sport, brand storytelling, and high energy visual communication.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, and under the guidance of an experienced Midweight Graphic Designer, the Junior Graphic Designer will contribute to the development and execution of creative materials across a range of marketing, commercial and business-wide activities. This includes but is not limited to, social media assets, various paid marketing assets including Billboards, web assets
and print assets. This role is pivotal to the delivery of the Supercars brand both internally, and externally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Production
- Assist in developing creative assets for digital channels including social media, websites, email, and online advertising.
- Support the design of print materials such as event signage, brochures, and sponsor deliverables.
- Assist with resizing, adaptation, and final artwork preparation across multiple formats.
- Prepare artwork for production, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency.
- Contribute fresh visual ideas that help elevate the Supercars brand.
- Maintain visual brand consistency across all assets.
- Assist in updating brand libraries, templates, and content repositories.
- Help ensure all creative output aligns with marketing strategies, sponsor requirements, and broadcast standards.
- Collaborate with digital, content, commercial, and events teams to support campaign execution.
- Participate in creative discussions, brainstorming sessions, and feedback cycles.
Workflow & Administration
- Creative Traffic Management - Assist in tracking the flow of design requests from briefing through to delivery, ensuring tasks are logged, prioritised, and completed on schedule.
- Maintain status updates on active jobs, ensuring key team members are aware of progress and dependencies.
- Contribute to maintaining a smooth, efficient creative workflow by proactively updating task lists, checking deadlines, and supporting the design team with general project coordination.
- Provide general creative assistance to the broader marketing team.

KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Professional Skills
- Foundational graphic design skills with a demonstration of creative thinking and visual execution.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly: Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign / (Bonus) After Effects or Premiere Pro
- Understanding of typography, layout, colour usage, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to prepare artwork for print and digital environments.
- Basic knowledge of social media formats and digital asset requirements.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and how to apply them consistently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate artwork.
Personal Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Creative, curious, and eager to learn.
- Collaborative and team oriented; comfortable taking direction.
- Proactive in seeking feedback and continuously developing craft.

- Passion for live entertainment (desirable but not required).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- The ideal candidate will bring:
- 1–3 years experience in a design related role (agency, inhouse, freelance, internship, or volunteer).
- A design degree, diploma, or equivalent tertiary training in graphic design, communication design, or visual arts.
- Experience producing creative assets for digital and/or print channels.
- Experience working with brand guidelines and file management systems.
- A portfolio showcasing design fundamentals
- A willingness to develop further.
