Cragsted Race Engines is offering an exciting opportunity for a Race Engine Workshop Assistant to become part of a dynamic and fast-paced workshop environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, takes initiative, and enjoys being hands-on with high-performance race engines.
About the Role
A hands‑on workshop role where you’ll fit and remove race engines from the dyno, manage consumables, support part preparation and ordering, and keep the workshop running efficiently through general duties such as cleaning, deliveries, and dispatch. Ideal for someone who enjoys practical work in a fast‑paced motorsport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit-up and removal of various race engine designs to and from engine dynos
- Manage ordering and stock of workshop consumables
- Assist engine assembler with parts cleaning/ preparation and ordering
- Depending on experience, support engine builder with some assembly tasks
- General workshop duties including cleaning, deliveries, and dispatch
- Use of basic computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Skills & Experience
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with engines
- Background in motor racing or working with a racing team is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment is
- Manual driver’s license is essential.
- Forklift license is highly desirable
- Immediate start available
