Tyre Assistant (Motorsport)

Triple Eight Race Engineering is Australia’s most successful motorsport team, operating at the highest level of precision, performance and professionalism. We’re looking for an experienced Tyre Assistant to support our Truck & Tyre Manager and help keep our tyre operations running flawlessly.

About the role

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-performance workshop environment. You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the tyre room, maintaining organisation, accuracy and readiness for test and race events.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Truck & Tyre Manager with day-to-day tyre room operations
• Maintain accurate organisation, labelling and stock control of tyres and related equipment
• Assist with preparation, loading/unloading and pack-up for tests and race events
• Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area in line with WH&S requirements
• Work effectively with the wider workshop and race team to meet tight deadlines

About you

• Experience as a tyre trade assistant and/or within a mechanical workshop environment
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
• Proven ability to work under pressure with initiative and minimal supervision
• Positive, flexible and team-focused approach
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to WH&S and safe work practices
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve

Desirable

• Knowledge of tyre technology and/or mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
• Forklift licence
• Drivers licence
• Strong manual dexterity with precision and attention to detail
• Physical stamina for hands-on workshop duties
